What is College Acres?
In addition to its many charms, College Acres is famously known as Candy Cane Lane, a magical place that brings smiles of delight to young children during the holiday season. In a tradition that is reenacted every Thanksgiving weekend, practically every home is decorated with bright and elaborate Christmas (and a few Hanukkah) displays which draw visitors from afar. In fact, after dark between Christmas and New Year's Eve, there are long lines of cars working their way through College Acres filled with admirers, and not all of them are children!
If you love residential architecture and sweeping gardens located on wide, meticulous streets sans sidewalks and yearn for the peaceful, joyful sounds of birds and the wind whistling through majestic trees, welcome home: you're in College Acres.
